Many thanks to all of the Jet3D/Genesis3D community

NOTE: Cheyenne Cloud Inc. has taken over for
Dave Stafford and Eclipse entertainment.

What is Jet3D?
Jet3D is simply the new name for the Game engine "Genesis3D".
So Jet3D v1.0 & 2.0 are essentially Genesis3D 1.0 & 2.0, with a different name.

Why the name change?

Wild Tangent recently acquired the Genesis3D/Hollywood3D technology from
it's creator "Eclipse Entertainment".  Part of the terms of the "sale" state that
Eclipse is not allowed to use the Genesis3D name.

It was also stated that Eclipse maintains the rights to the G3D 1.0
and early pre-alpha code for 2.0 as well, as it was at the time of the
"official" acquisition/sale of the Genesis3D technology.

So what does this mean then?

It means that both Wild Tangent and Eclipse are starting from the same point
as far as the Genesis3D technology stands.  Both will be developing with the G3D
code, however Eclipse is not allowed to compete with Wild Tangent
as far as Web application go. (Hollywood 3D)

So why should I go with Eclipse? Not a company like Wild Tangent?

The choice is always up to you, but I created this website for
Jet3D users with the following in mind:

1) Wild Tangent stated that Genesis3D 2.0 will NOT be "Open Source"
Yet Dave Stafford of Eclipse Entertainment has stated that the
renamed "Jet3D 2.0" engine will remain open source!

2) Jet3D will be more so community based, sharing what we all learn with each other
in the spirit that Dave Stafford always intended it. Open Source!

3) The Jet3D engine is still completely free! As it was before the WT acquisition
While WT's version of Genesis3D will require a license fee already.
(in some cases)

4) There has been much speculation that Wild Tangent's interest in the engine is
more so in web development apps as with Hollywood3D
which could mean a long(er) wait for the development of the G3D v2.0 game engine,
in favor of Hollywood3d advances.

Some tutorials may refer to "Genesis3D", these tutorials also apply to Jet3D
as you may have already figured. : )

(send your press release links to kendeel@mail.com)

OtherWorlds InterActive & "The Unholy" has totally abandoned use of Jet3D since May 2000.
We apologize for the late information. Currently there are no full scale projects that I am aware of that
plan to 'try' to utilize the Jet3D engine and tools.
